It never snows in Midland. I was told it happens maybe once a decade and it was never like the last snow we had, which was somewhere around 10 inches! I’m so thankful for it to, because I have barely picked up my camera since we moved. Lots of settling in, painting, homeschooling, and overall just a lack of inspiration with all the stress that comes along with all of those things.
But then it SNOWED!!! The kids played for two days making snow angels, snowball fights, digging, building, and of course, lots of fires and hot chocolate to warm us back up. But I got to play too! I pulled out my camera (and maybe dusted it off) and took video and photos of the kids. But, I also put out a model call on a mom’s group on facebook. Something like “anyone over 32 weeks, I’ve got the gowns if you can get out there with me today!” I had such a great response and ultimately I had three amazing women meet me, ready to go! I selected three amazing Sew Trendy Accessories dresses from my client closet for each of them and we headed out for the snow!
Niki showed up looking amazing, threw on an amazing red gown, which looked amazing on her, and we rushed against the melting snow. We ultimately met at Midland College, because it was the most undisturbed snow we could find (what?!) I remember it snowing when I was at UNT and we were all out with sleds and laundry hampers on the hill! Anyway, I digress. We had so much fun together and Niki is just a doll with such a big heart and always smiling! Thank you so much for trusting me to photograph your maternity session on a whim!
